Gerardo Ruiz Robles Sr., 49, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Gerardo was born on June 25, 1977, in Mexico to Osvaldo and Gregoria Robles.

Visitation for Mr. Robles is planned for Tuesday September 1,2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Miller Family Funeral Home. Services are set for Wednesday September 2,2026 at 10:00 AM at Miller Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery.

Gerardo loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and children, creating memories and sharing in the moments that mattered to him. He had a deep love for horses and found great joy in riding and spending time around them. Horses were truly a special part of his life and something he was passionate about. He also had a great love for music, which brought him happiness and was a part of many moments. Above all, he cherished his family and the time he spent with the people he loved. He will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he shared with them and the memories they made together. Gerardo's passing leaves a deep emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to live on through his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by His mother Gregoria Robles of San Angelo, Texas, his father Osvaldo Robles of San Angelo, Texas. His first sibling Argelia Robles Ramirez, second sibling Osvaldo Robles Jr.,third sibling Abel Robles, fourth sibling Jesus Robles, fifth sibling Claudia Robles Palacio, sixth sibling Yesenia Robles Tellez, Seventh sibling Araceli Robles, eighth sibling Jessica Robles Diaz. His children Gerardo Robles Jr. and wife Milayna Robles of Snyder, Texas, Ivan Robles of Snyder, Texas, Jason Robles and wife Marisa Robles of Snyder, Texas, Areli Robles of Snyder, Texas. His grandchildren Gerardo Daniel Robles, Yareli Itza Robles, Daleyza luna Robles, and Nyla Rose Robles. His partner Amy Belman of Snyder, Texas.

Matthew Quinton Sanchez Jr., 21, of Snyder, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2026. He was born on February 28, 2005, in Snyder, Texas. Matthew was a loving son, brother, grandson, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and making memories with the people closest to him. Some of his favorite things included fishing, detailing vehicles, soaking up the sun, and hunting. Above all, Matthew treasured being with his family and the time they shared together. Matthew was an uncle and wanted to be just like his dad. He wanted all his nieces to acknowledge him like they did his dad. Matthew was a member of Living Water Apostolic Church in Post, Texas.

He is survived by his father, Matthew Quinton Sanchez Sr. of Snyder; his mother, Karey Ann Carr of Gatesville; his brother, Ricky Meza of Snyder; his sisters, Nevaeh Angel Sanchez and Kayla Sanchez, both of Snyder; others sisters Khara Renea Senkirik, Madison Ryann Senkirik, and Sayler Ray Senkirik his grandmother, Helbera Sanchez of Snyder; his grandfather, Jack Carr of Fort Worth; his grandmother, Gloria Carr of Fort Worth; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family members and friends. Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Sanchez Sr. Those who knew Matthew will remember him for the memories he made, the time he spent with his family, and the love he shared with those around him. Sharon Marietta Norman (née Urquhart) passed away peacefully on August 24,2026, she was born on December 21, 1947, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Sharon shared 60 devoted years of marriage with her husband, Roy Nelson Norman, a partnership marked by deep affection, loyalty, and a lifetime of memories.

Sharon was a loving mother to Natalie Boswell (and son-in-law Randy Boswell) and Paul Norman (and daughter-in-law Debra Norman). She was a proud grandmother to Alex Boswell (and granddaughter-in-law Angel Johnson) and Anastasia Boswell, and a delighted great-grandmother to Ellie Boswell, who brought her endless joy.

Sharon lived her life with a gentle heart and a generous spirit. She adored animals and devoted herself to rescuing both cats and dogs. Her commitment to their wellbeing extended beyond her home-she was a longtime member of the SPCA, supporting the protection and care of animals in need. Her garden was her sanctuary, especially her beloved roses, which she tended with patience and pride. Sharon was also an avid reader and a gifted writer, finding comfort, inspiration, and expression in the written word.

Sharon's legacy lives on in the compassion she showed, the beauty she cultivated, and the love she poured into her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, and the strength that shaped every chapter of her life.

Eloise Gunset, 85 of Snyder, passed away peacefully Friday, August 21, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Tx.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 6 - 8pm at Miller Family Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas. Services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 10:00 am at the 37th Street Church of Christ with Joey Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Eloise was born on January 6, 1941, in Odessa, Texas, to Gus and Artie (Magill) Thomason. She married the love of her life, Gerald "Jerry" Gunset, on September 23, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned sixty-five years.

Eloise was a longtime member of the 37th Street Church of Christ, where she and Jerry faithfully served, remained actively involved, and cherished the deep friendships they formed within their church family. In 1979, Eloise and Jerry became the owners and operators of Production Logging, Inc., a faith-based company they successfully led until their retirement in May 2011.
Eloise enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories with friends through their RV adventures. She and Jerry were proud members of the Big Country Good Sam's RV Club for more than 20 years and later traveled with the Pharr RV group for several more years. She had a servant's heart and found great joy in helping others, whether through volunteering at church youth camps, supporting community activities, or simply lending a hand whenever it was needed.
While raising her children, Eloise devoted herself to their lives and activities, investing countless hours in encouraging, mentoring, and supporting the youth of her community. She coached soccer and girls' softball, served as both a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, and positively impacted the lives of many families in Snyder. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched everyone who knew her.
Eloise was always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, and the warmest hugs. Her honesty, integrity, and compassionate spirit were among her greatest gifts, as she had a servant’s heart.
To her children, she was lovingly known as Momma. To her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and community, she was Mawmaw, a title she wore with immense pride and love. Throughout the Snyder community, she was known and cherished for her steadfast support, encouragement, and care for others.
For more than 54 years, Snyder was the home she loved deeply. Through her devotion to family, faith, and community, Eloise left an enduring legacy that will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.

Eloise is survived by her sister Martha Louise Edwards and brother-in-law, James (Jim) Gunset.

Lonnie Clyde Hammit, 79, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026.

He was born on April 17, 1947, in Snyder, Texas, to David and Sarah Hammit. He married the love of his life on April 17,1970; they were happily married 56 years and 4 months.

Visitation is set for Friday August 21,2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Family Funeral Home. Services are set for Saturday August 22,2026, at 2:00 PM at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Lonnie will be remembered for the life he lived, the memories he created, and the connections he shared with family and friends. Lonnie loved to fish, hunt, and had a passion for riding motorcycles. In his younger years he was a volunteer Fire Fighter. He worked for Superior and the name changed over the years several times, what we know now as OXY. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of moments that will be remembered and cherished. Though his passing brings sadness, those who loved Lonnie can find comfort in the memories they shared and the lasting place he will always hold in their hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife Rita Hammit, two sons Ricky and wife Angela Hammit, Joey and wife Amy Hammit, and one daughter Angela and husband Gregory Abell. 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Kathy and husband Ronnie Block, and Pasty Eaker. Judy Cottrell (Hembree), 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026.

She was born on May 30, 1961, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Walt and Judy Davis.

Judy was a woman who found joy in the simple things and treasured the people who made life special. She was a member of Ave D Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending Bible study and sharing in fellowship with others. Outside of church, Judy loved playing bingo, watching science fiction and horror movies, and spending time with her friends and family. She had a fun-loving spirit and knew how to enjoy the moments that mattered most.

Above all, Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family meant the world to her, and the time she spent with the people she loved created memories that will be cherished for years to come. Judy will be remembered for her caring heart, her faith, her friendship, and her ability to find happiness in the things she enjoyed. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Russell Martin Webb-criminal defense attorney, world-record skydiver, photographer, filmmaker, cat trainer, relentless tinkerer, father, brother, and a man who never encountered a toilet that couldn't be improved with a bidet-was finally slowed down & stopped on August 12, 2026, in Amarillo, TX. It was a 19-month battle with glioblastoma. He was 75.

Born November 25, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Rebecca Martin and Thomas Powers Webb. The oldest of four, he spent much of his childhood in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia; later attending Allen Military Academy, El Paso Burges High School, Sam Houston State University, and earning his law degree from Texas Southern University. He passed the bar on his first try, but we're more impressed that he sat in a chair long enough to do so.

Russell was a 10 year old boy who dreamed of having his own science lab...and later became
a 70 year old man who lived in one. His bedroom was a computer lab, darkroom, workshop,
hardware store, legal archive, and equipment storage facility all at once. He was endlessly
fascinated by photography, filmmaking, time-lapse photography, computers, tools, science,
cameras, microscopes, and anything that could be investigated, modified, recorded, dismantled,
magnified, or plugged into something. He left behind a dozen Craftsman cabinets full of tools,
zip ties, razor blades, electrical cords, and anything else a 10 year old boy might dream of
owning in excess. A room so full that the bed was shoved in a corner, wedged between filing
cabinets and mini fridges. The walls covered in decades worth of his own photos that had been
developed and printed at home; ranging from grisly car wrecks to "local models".

He spent years working for the Texas Department of Corrections and as a parole officer before
becoming a defense attorney and helping people from that side. He was passionate about your
individual rights and took pride in getting clients out of jail. For years, he also served informally
as photographer for the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association Christmas Party.

Apparently, even a room full of defense attorneys needed photographic evidence of what happened.

Russell was a collector. If he needed 1 thing, he'd buy 100. This wasn't limited to objects,
though, and included people. He never burned a bridge. He kept in touch with old friends,
classmates, colleagues, ex-girlfriends, and even women he'd met while online dating. He found
great joy in pulling up a photo he'd taken of someone when they were a kid, tracking them down across the country, and making them recreate the same pose as a senior citizen; the sort of thing that's more endearing posthumously than in the moment.

He loved a road trip and would use an eclipse or skydiving boogie as the perfect excuse to
recreate those moments. His final log book showed 5,116 jumps and those adventures took him around the world, including a jump over the pyramids of Egypt. From 2000 to 2010, he was a
tandem instructor examiner at Skydive Houston. At age 60, he broke a world record as part of
Skydivers Over Sixty in Lake Elsinore, California. When he drove to Wyoming in 2017 for the
solar eclipse, he brought nine cameras. His 2007 Ford Freestar minivan - featuring a 6' long
half-naked mermaid on one side - had three GoPros mounted to it because America didn't
enough footage of its interstates.

Russell loved making videos and dreamed of going viral. He frequently demanded that family
members, waitresses, and anyone who'd listen subscribe to his YouTube channel and tell all
their friends. His fascination didn't end there, though, as he once announced that he'd watched
every cat video there was. Most people accept that as the end of the internet. Russell saw a
content gap. He trained his cat to yawn on command and then took close to 800 daily
photographs of it. He knew this would be the break he was waiting for.

It wasn't.

He started luring wild raccoons into his townhome with the promise of hot dogs and attempting
to train them. He would leave food outside for timelapse videos of ants... or installing new
hardwood floors in his rental units. (Intentionally plural.) Russell remodeled rented apartments
with the confidence of a man who considered a lease a list of suggestions as opposed to a
binding contract. He acquired enough Ryobi power tools to open his own hardware store. He
put casters on every piece of furniture so he could rearrange his place at a moment's notice.

Russell was also the world's greatest advocate for bidets. Every toilet needed one. Even hotels.
Somewhere there is a hotel maintenance worker who has questions that will never be
answered.

Russell committed intensely to anything that interested him. In his final weeks, this included
eating Church's Chicken for 45 days straight. Through his life, he survived a heart attack,
melanoma, and crashing into a parachute that was opened beneath him. He frequently boasted
how he'd never broken a bone while skydiving. (What actually broke both his arms was trying to
impress a girl by pole-vaulting with two sticks.) There's some irony that the thing that finally took
him down was something like brain cancer and not something more directly related to his
chaotic lifestyle.

Those who knew Russell are invited to remember him not simply for how his life ended, but for
the extraordinarily curious, unconventional, and comical way he lived it. There is also one final
piece of unfinished business. Russell spent years sharing his content with others. It seems
appropriate to honor that one more time.

Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others touched countless lives throughout the years. That same loving heart extended to her family and everyone was fortunate enough to know her.

Thresea will be remembered for her caring heart, her dedication to helping others, and the unconditional love she had for her family. She found great meaning in caring for those around her, and the love she gave will continue through the generations she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory and the lessons she taught them in their hearts. Thresea will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Vasquez, and son-in-law, Felipe Vasquez; grandchildren, Jose Vasquez, Esmerelda Vasquez, Anastacia Vasquez, and Zoe Vasquez; and great-grandsons, Westin Windham and Waylon Windham. She is also survived by her son, Michael Johnson, and daughter-in-law, Kary Johnson; grandchildren, Stephanie Salinas, Hunter Perez, and Brendan Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Karter Johnson, Kallie Johnson, Karlee Johnson, Motley Perez, Montana Perez, and McKinley Martinez.

Ronnie Buster Anderson, 81, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, in Longview, Texas.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Miller Family Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Hillside Memorial Gardens, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at 37th Street Church of Christ in Snyder.

Ronnie was born on February 19, 1945, in San Francisco, California, to Buster and Ronda Anderson. At the time of his birth, his father, Buster, was serving as a Merchant Marine. Ronnie later made Snyder, Texas, his home, where he graduated from Snyder High School in 1964. He went on to attend Texas Tech University, earning his degree in Accounting.

Throughout his working years, Ronnie built a career in accounting and business. He worked for Brunken Toyota, Greyhound, the oilfield, and Anderson & Anderson. It was during his time at Greyhound that Ronnie met the love of his life, Bertha Ann Montalvo. The two were married on April 11, 1970, in Crosbyton, Texas, and shared more than 56 years of marriage together. Ronnie later retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Ronnie was also deeply committed to his community and to the education of local children. He served on the Snyder Independent School District Board of Trustees from 2008 until 2021. During his time on the board, he served as Secretary from 2014-2015 and President from 2015-2016. His years of service reflected his dedication to Snyder and his desire to make a positive difference in the community.

Ronnie was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for hot rod cars, farming, and sports. He especially enjoyed a good cheeseburger, strawberry milkshake, Root Beer, watermelon, popcorn, ginger snaps, and chewing gum. His interests and the things he enjoyed brought him many happy moments throughout his life.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Ronda Anderson.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Bertha Anderson of Longview, Texas; his son, Roger Anderson and wife Susan of Arlington, Texas; his daughter, Michele Menges and husband Eric of Longview, Texas; and his brother, Larry Anderson and wife Bobbie of Choudrant, Louisiana. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the East Texas Alzheimer's Alliance in memory of Ronnie Anderson.
