We've had some exciting news on the homestead over the past couple of days! Baby eggs! Our Black Copper Maran & Olive Egger chicks that we hatched April 30 are now starting to produce & earn their keep. We're just waiting to see how our German Deathlayers (Westfälischer Totleger) do. Look at these precious little eggs! Stay tuned!

It's been a minute, but we've had a very busy summer! Today we had the privilege to go on an adventure to the Buchanan District Library for a special chicken story time. Have rooster, will travel! 🐓

Some weeks on the farm are better than others. I know I still owe you a post about the good news from last week, but life has taken over & this predator has been rampant. Look at him (or her) being all smug enjoying the sunrise, waiting for the coop doors to open this morning! Free range always has a cost.
