🌭Farewell Friends🌭
It is with a heavy heart to announce the closure of our year-round location in the Peninsula Center Mall. After some pretty major changes recently, I’ve accepted that life has a different plan for me right now. And that’s ok 🥹 as hard as it seems to me, this too shall pass. I’ve enjoyed this venture more than I can begin to put into words. The customers I’ve gained and the friendships that blossomed from a simple transaction have been truly remarkable.
The thing about customer service, especially in a small town like ours, what you don’t hear enough about is the connections you make along the way. Maybe it’s the lull between lunch and dinner or cocktail hour where you can talk to the few customers you have on a deeper level than “what can I get started for you?” It’s your favorite couple that would come by cause mommy-to-be just had to have that pregnancy craving RIGHT NOW! And then it’s that same couple who comes back scared, excited, tired and full of love to show you how proud they are of the beautiful human they created. But sometimes it’s harder…much harder than we imagined we would expect in the service industry. It’s a fellow customer coming in to tell you your regular you’ve seen every week for years has passed away and how much they enjoyed coming to see you as part of their regular routine. But above all, it’s beautiful, it’s raw, it’s a taste of all aspects in the circle of life… it’s a human connection. Because of quality service and authenticity, they choose to share these moments with us.
I’m so grateful for the last 4.5 years. The new connections that were made and the constant visits from friends and family have been priceless. The jokes always been, the hot dog stand is where we go for therapy 😂 whether we needed to cry, laugh or just embrace…we did it. And it felt like home. What a special time it’s been, and I’ll look back on it fondly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the love and support through this small chapter of my life. And who knows… Maybe it’s not forever, but for now, farewell friends.
