At Howling Heritage Farms we hold a few things close to our Hearts:

1.) Our Food

We came up with the idea back in late Fall of 2016. My Boyfriend who is also a Former US Marine and a Disabled Veteran ; and I had had a discussion to turn our little over 1 Acre Property into a Self-Sufficient Homestead. Not only did we have the dream of having this Homestead but we wanted it to be special...

My boyfriend had already been breeding his own Livestock Guardian Dogs (American Mastiff + Turkish Kangal+English Mastiff). We were deciding which Chicken breed we were going to start with. We are a huge Ohio State and Cleveland Browns household, so when we ran across the Ohio Buckeye Chicken we were beyond thrilled. The chicken fit all of our needs! They could withstand Alaska's Winters, were dual purpose, and were on the Livestock Conservancy List. Soon to come on the farm will be Black Jersey Giant Chickens, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, and a Pig. Our Homestead also features Rare Herbs, Fruits, and Vegetables. We order special seeds from Rare Seed Catalogs.
