Tonight’s elixir is a rosé from Provence, from Aix en Provence. Thinking of my close friend who grew up in that region and recommended this wine to me 🤗 It’ll be paired with barbecued lamb chops. Review in the comments.

Finally ready to enjoy this mouth-watering 2014 red blend from the Sunstone winery. This bottle was a gift from our friends Manu and Maxime, back when we went wine tasting in the Santa Ynez valley together. We’re letting the wine aerate for an hour in the bottle. Pay attention to the cork… 10 years old and no seepage whatsoever! The wine will be paired with grilled filet mignon and gratin Dauphinois. I even baked bread for the occasion… And I thank my kids for their impromptu visit, which led to this last-minute epicurean episode.

Saturday morning started with the showing of my award-winning video, “I JUST WANT A ZINFANDEL.” I was presented with an Oscar-type statuette as the first inductee into the Wine Spectator Video Competition Hall of Fame. It was a fun honor....

The 43rd annual Wine Spectator: 348 wines, from 21480 bottles, into 60270 glasses, OVER 2 DAYS... Such a Fantastic Wine Experience!
