There is always more work to be done than we have time or hands to do. The weeds take over faster than we can pull them, flowers need dead heading or the rows need sweeping. Join us for Golden Hour Garden Club on Tuesday evenings at the farm, to get your hands dirty and learn a little bit about the flowers while doing it!

We will spend an hour in the gardens doing some clean up, getting our hands dirty, weeding or deadheading, etc. As thanks for your hour of volunteer time in the garden you will be able to pick a small jug of flowers from the public garden before you head home.

No experience or registration required, simply come on down, bring a pair of gardening gloves and we’ll walk you through it! Suitable for 18 years and older as the use of tools, bending and pulling with a keen eye is needed

Floral Book Workshop: 10.22.26

Calling all book loving flower people, this one is for your! In this hands-on experience, you will create a stunning, one-of-a-kind centerpiece using dried florals from the farm and a hardcover book of your own choosing!

Set outdoors, under the lights in our private garden, this workshop invites you to connect with nature and creativity in an inspiring, open-air setting. In case of rain, we will hold the workshop in the barn. Join us on Thursday, October 22nd, from 5:30 to 7:00pm.

Your $85 ticket includes:
📖 A generous selection of our farm-grown, premium dried flowers
📖 Use of all essential floral tools and materials
📖 Guided instruction in a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Please bring a hardcover book of your choosing. Choose something you love, or something old that you like the look of. Choose a favorite or whatever you can find. You will have the option of doing this centerpiece two different ways. One way you will see the cover, and the other way you will see more of the pages.

Updated hours for this weekend! We are nearing the end of our picking season (😭). This might be our last weekend. Come on over on Saturday, from 10am to 2pm and Sunday from 9am to 2pm to fill your jugs! Please note the hours are different than usual for Saturday. Our pumpkins are still looking great as well, it’s time to deck out your porches!

We do have two rows of sunflowers that are taking their sweet time blooming. So we may have sunflowers available beyond this weekend, all depends on their weather.

Private Pickers: we will still have dahlias up until frost. But if you have jugs left on your packages, get on over here!

The Dahlias are Dahlia-ing right now, and loving the cooler fall weather. These babies are coming at you tomorrow at our market stand at our Farmers Market. All our mixed bouquets will have a couple thrown in, and we’ll have straight bunches of five dahlias available.

As a reminder, dahlias are NOT included or available in the u-pick garden. We make them available in our market bouquets on Sundays. Otherwise we have private picking packages that go on sale in the Spring, that gives you access to the private garden in August, which includes many yummy things besides the fall dahlias. This helps us offset the cost of our Spring planting. So essentially, the dahlias have been purchased by our private pickers before they even bloom. Dahlias are expensive to purchase and are labor intensive compared to most everything else we grow, and I like to grow all the fancy ones and unique ones. So if you are drooling over them, then visit the Somers Farmers Market tomorrow to get yourself a bunch!

What is better than fresh cut flowers, fresh squeeze lemonade and a hot lobster roll right off the griddle?

We’ll be back in a big way this weekend! The rain has been a bummer, but by some magic, the gardens are looking the best they have ever looked this late in the season! We will be open Saturday, Oct 3rd from 9-4 and Sunday October 4th 9-2 for picking. Best of all Hooked NY will be joining us for BOTH days, serving up fresh squeeze lemonade and lunch! Hold on to the nice weather a little bit longer and come on down for picking and enjoy a lobster roll or cheese steak in the gardens. See you soon 🌼 🦞 🍋

We still have a lot of flowers left to pick before our first frost rolls in! Given the wet weather this past weekend, we will be open a few days during the week for picking. Now blooming: zinnias (18+), ageratum, statice, amaranth, cosmos, celosia, chamomile, snapdragons, and more. Sunflowers and gladiolus coming soon.

On Friday, before the stormy weekend, I frantically harvested some of my favorite flowers currently blooming at the farm, juuuust in case it took on some damage. I’ll be back over to confirm tomorrow, but I think the flowers faired okay. Closing for a whole weekend is rough, especially with a seasonal business. However the forced days at home gave me some time with the blooms that I probably wouldn’t otherwise have taken the time to play with.

Special picking hours this week: Tuesday and Wednesday, 10am to 2pm.
