It’s time, it’s time!!! The Somers Farmer’s Market opens this weekend at Honeybee Grove. Stop in for some goodies on Sunday, June 7th, from 9am to 2pm and say “hello” to your favorite local farms and makers, and get to know some new ones! Overflow parking available at the Elephant Hotel. Dogs allowed in the front market area of the farm only. U-pick flowers will open mid-July, but we will have peonies bunches for you at our HBG market tent!

Limited Edition Peony Picking - 5.29 and 5.30!

These queen of spring flowers boast huge, elegant, fragrant blooms. Peonies are what we call “one and done” flowers. So once the blooms are cut, they are done blooming for the season and will not keep reproducing blooms until next year. This means I can count the number of flowers we will have available. It also means that peony picking is going to work differently than any of our other picking opportunities. Peony picking bunches will be sold ahead of time, and you can come cut either Friday, May 29th from Noon to 3:00pm or Saturday, May 30th, from 9am to Noon. Please be patient as we test drive this new product offering!

Currently blooming are the lighter colors - blush and white. If you are interested in coming to pick, you can purchase your peony bunches on our website and come on either of the days available. **There will be no walk-in picking as the stock is limited.**

Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds if you do not show up for your your peonies. We are going to sell them in bunches of 5 stems, for $35. You can purchase more than one bunch at check-out by changing the quantity you wish to purchase. The link will let you know if they are sold out. As buds color up and get ready for picking, I will add bunches to the link.

The peonies will continue to color-up and be ready for picking over the next several days. I will send out an email on Sunday with the availability for next week! See website/stories for link!

Save the date! We are two weeks away from opening day for the Farmers Market! We can’t wait to welcome you all back for our weekly market, every Sunday starting June 7th. We’ll be open 9-2 for market shopping! U-pick flowers will open in a few weeks.

Tickets to our favorite night are now live on the website! Graze at Golden Hour is a delicious and beautiful event held only a few times a year. Join us on Thursday, June 11th, from 6-8:30pm for a bountiful grazing dinner by , live violin by , and of course flowers by . Our Spring dinner is held by the barn (or in the barn if raining). Our 2026 Private Picking Packages are now live on our website. Give mom (or yourself, or a friend) a gift that keeps on giving this Summer into Fall.

Private picking packages are pre-paid access to the private garden at the farm. Think of it as a pick-your-own flower CSA. This is one of only two ways to get access to our dahlias during the season. Summer picking season is generally from end of July to early October. You are able to use your picking jugs during that time, when the farm is open for picking (weekends, with potentially some weekdays).

By pre-purchasing a picking package you will directly support the cost load of spring expenses ahead of opening season. This means you will be helping to cover the costs of compost, fencing, irrigation, seeds, bulbs, staff and more.
