Another awesome show in the books at Angles Camp! The Motherload goat show is by far my favorite show of the year. The girls who run it are awesome and Rebecca Nix Q always puts a lot of time into getting some great pictures of the show. Thank you Rebecca for all these pictures! I was happy with my milker and kid placings but the 3 bucks I brought really outdid themselves 😎

In the first ring under Danielle Carolei Reggae got Grand Champion🏆 and Elk got the Reserve Champion🎗️!
That now makes Reggae a pending Finished Champion!😁🏆🏆🏆

In the second ring under Sarah Hazeltine Rockymountain Elk got Grand Champion🏆 and best buck in show💜🏆!! Red Hot poker got reserve🎗️!

I now have 3 boys who just need one more so hopefully the two old men will keep holding up until next year🤞😊

I want to give a HUGE thank you to the crew Stomping C Farms for helping me out with the boys. I know by that time of night everyone is done and I really appreciate finally getting a decent picture of goats with judges 😂.

Ohhh I almost forgot about my stowaway from Julia. Definitely the odd one out at the goat show but I’m super excited to see how he does for my Olde English Southdown Babydoll herd 😎🐑.

I decided to go to Anderson show last minute and it definitely didn’t disappoint 😁
I was very happy with how the kids placed but over the moon about my 4 year old milker Holly. She was the only adult I brought and we ended up going home with a Reserve Champion ribbon with some very tough competition.
… I seem to have a thing with not setting up my goats correctly for a picture with the judges at every show lol. I’m so thankfully I had some awesome people help get some better pictures for me haha. I feel like I need to make a separate post just for my embarrassing pictures with judges because I have quite the collection at this point 😅

Well I’m late again posting show wins but after being up for 60 hours with only 4 hours of sleep I needed a week to recover 😂.

The Mid-State Dairy Goat Show in Paso Robles was a great show and Im so incredibly happy with the results. I only brought 5 this time but they did much better than I was hoping for. I was really wanting to finish a buck but my younger boy was looking to good and took the grand😁. I now have 3 boys who just need one more grand and my 3 year old who needs two.

Sweet 2 by 2 Rockymountain Elk took Grand Champion Buck and Cabrandywinfarms Art Reggae got the Reserve Champion under Lorelei Hallock.

Kickapoo Creek SOH Holly was 2nd place 4 year old under Lorelei Hallock and 3rd place under C**t Churchill.

D’Agostini Ranch Buttermilk made the cut and got 8th place senior kid under Lorelei Hallock and got 3rd place senior kid under C**t Churchill.

I want to also give a huge shout out to Natalie Red Rooster. She was so nice and took great pictures of a lot of farms and their goats. It’s definitely a treat to walk away with some pictures because I’m horrible about getting pictures of anything 🫣😅

Holly here is definitely the winner of the best pre-fresh udder this year! 😁🏆
She was bred to a buck that will hopefully improve those pasturns while maintaining a beautiful udder. She is in need of a hoof trim so that will help a bit 😅.
Video was taken this morning and she just kidded with triplet does 🎀🎀🎀!! … all are definitely retained for now 🥰

Now that I’m day dreaming about the upcoming show season I just realized I completely forgot to post last years CA State Fair 😅
I couldn’t have survived this show without Liz and Mackenzie Waits who always come to save the day and help show goats for me.
Anyways better late than never I guess 🫣

Meet the new girls on the farm 🌸💗😁💕
They will stay here to be evaluated throughout the first year then the best will get to stay. The goal is to make each new generation better than the last. That means retaining a lot of kids and letting go of a lot of adults. I’m playing around with some new genetics this year so I’m excited to see how they mature and already looking forward to next years FF’s 😊
