Weekdays (Wed, Thur, Fri) 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I left my iPad on the workbench in the shop last night and it looks like our resident Racoon found it and tried to make a pawed-cast.

Spiderwort seed orchard is in bloom. One of the several prairie seeds we grow and harvest in addition to Christmas trees on the farm. We love the purple color and the bees love the flowers. Harvest will begin in two to three weeks.

Denmark: Friends and Farms

The four of us Shawn, Marianna, James, and Maritsa visited friends and tree farms in Denmark in March. Lars Geil and Ulrik Nyvold, who are a major part of Denmark’s thriving Christmas tree industry were our hosts. The hospitality they and Denmark offered us was warm and generous beyond compare. We met Lars and Ulrik when they visited .croix.valley.trees in 2023. Even in that short visit we became friends and realized we had much to learn from our fellow tree growers in Denmark. It’s incredible the amount of information we learned from them but more importantly it is so nice to know we have friends across the Atlantic. To everyone in Denmark who made our trip so wonderful, we say “Tak” (thank you)

This past weekend we had the privilege of hosting Jim Rockis and Beth Ann Bossio from . Jim and Beth Ann are responsible for creating the seed orchard for premium Canaan Fir seedlings. Jim was mentored by some of the pioneers in genetic improvement of fir trees. Without their work and his four decades of effort we would not have the beautiful Canaan Fir that we grow today. We have a lot of happy customers who also appreciate the results of all your efforts. Thank you for coming to visit!
