We grill up every single veggie in our New England styled salsa to enhance the flavors of the mild peppers, tomatoes, onions and garlic so you taste a well balanced (not hot) salsa. Our salsa is inspired by our family’s original recipe. We don’t skimp on the seasonings that make our salsa stay true to those ancestral flavors. It might be New England styled but it’s only the heat level. Let us know what you think? We are so excited to try our hand at urban growing. We planted some tomatillos, jalapeños, biquinhos from our friends . I also have a pot that I threw some sweet alyssums from the permaculture swap and gather I attended earlier this spring. We’ll be adding marigolds too when the chance of getting them from local grower arises. We hope you enjoy watching these grow and hopefully we can make some delicious things for you when the time comes for harvest.

Our hearts are still full from last Sunday’s Mother’s Day fundraiser. The support and engagement of those who participated was incredible. The laughter, chatter and tortilla making brought back fond memories of my own family gatherings in our kitchens. Thank you all for the support, your curiosity in our cultural foods and intentional spirits in wanting better foods in our local food systems. We look forward to many more opportunities to share and educate how our ancient process is so important to us to keep alive.
