As May came to a close, I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who supported Taylor Farms Supply last month! ❤️

Because of you, we had 44 orders in May. Every order, share, comment, recommendation, and purchase helps support my small business.

As part of our customer appreciation, everyone who placed an order during the month of May was entered to receive a FREE Taylor Farms shirt as a thank-you for your support! This month’s winner was Susan Yost!

Running a small business isn’t always easy, and your support means more than you know. Whether you purchased a cage accessory, feeders, trays, educational materials, or a custom setup, I appreciate every single one of you.

Thank you for choosing Taylor Farms Supply and for helping me continue to grow this dream. I can’t wait to see what June brings! 🌟

Congratulations Yost!

Welp, it’s already getting hot. And now that I have to keep my doors shut more, I’ve got to add some extra fans.

I just picked up two of these from TikTok Shop. I already have the big chicken house fan in the back, but unfortunately it’s still too warm in there.

This wasn’t something I was planning on buying right now, but with the temperatures rising and the rabbits needing proper airflow, it became a necessary purchase. Sometimes you have to make adjustments as new challenges come up.

Tomorrow I’m finishing up cleaning the shop, and hopefully within the next few weeks I’ll be able to remove those inner walls I’ve shown in previous videos. I’m hoping opening everything up will help improve airflow and make the building more comfortable overall.

Hopefully these fans help make a difference🤍

Peep my new cameras view of the shop. I can see everything live and it alerts me.

When your aunt wants fresh peppers for her meal, but it’s been raining for days and the garden is a muddy mess… you improvise 😂

A little mud never stopped anyone from getting farm-fresh ingredients!

Some of you wanted an update on the rabbits and were asking about specific ones. Kat, I know you were wondering about Ravena and her babies. I’m so thankful to say that Ravena is okay, and all of her babies are doing well too. ❤️

Right now I’m working hard to get electrolytes to everyone in the barn and doing everything I can to help reduce stress. After what happened, my biggest concern is preventing any secondary issues that can come from the trauma and stress of the attack.

Umbra was one of the rabbits that was injured. She has skin/ fur missing from her front feet and some damage to her dewlap, but thankfully her bones appear to be okay. I’m treating her injuries and doing everything I can to help her heal.

We’ve also made several changes to improve security. I ran an electric fence around the barn, set up a camera, and have been working to repair and secure the area. The doors are staying shut as much as possible, and we’ll likely need to add a secondary fan because the exhaust system alone isn’t enough to maintain good airflow in the shop during the summer.

Thank you all for the prayers, support, and messages. This has been incredibly difficult, but I’m doing everything I can to care for the survivors and protect them moving forward. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers that there are no more attacks and that everyone continues to recover 🤍

RIP #8 💔

Taylor Farms Calypso

This beautiful VM Magpie doe was a planned keeper and had such a bright future here.

Earlier today, I went through the barn checking on my survivors and somehow missed her injury. When I came back around to refill water and provide electrolytes to help with stress, I found her standing with her injured limb soaking in her water bowl. The damage was far worse than I could imagine. 😭

I made the difficult decision to mercy cull her to end her suffering. It was the kindest thing I could do for her, but it doesn’t make it hurt any less.

After losing seven rabbits earlier, losing Calypso now brings the total to eight. My heart is absolutely shattered.

Rest easy, sweet girl. You deserved so much better than this 😭

Okay guys, I need some opinions.

I still have to take care of my animals tonight, and honestly I’m worried whatever did this might try to come back 🥺

For those of you with predator experience, what kind of animal do you think would be capable of tearing limbs and feet off rabbits, stripping hides, and causing major damage to cages? The cage doors were completely torn open and cages were bent in all kind of weird ways- so whatever it was had some serious force behind it.

Right now I’m leaning toward dogs or coyotes, but I’m not sure. I’ve got all the doors shut, put up an electric fence around the entire barn, and I’m fixing to set up a camera so I can keep watch throughout the night.

I’d appreciate any thoughts from people who’ve dealt with predator attacks before. I’m trying to figure out what I’m dealing with so I can protect the rest of my animals 😭

RIP to one of the prettiest girls I’ve ever had the opportunity of owning-Stargazer😭😭

Stargazer and 6 other rabbits died a horrific death today. I walked into broken cages, dead rabbits thrown across my floors, and others killed in their cages. I honestly can’t even put into words the amount of pain I’m feeling right now. My heart literally aches in my chest🥺

And before anyone says, “They’re meat rabbits anyways,” please understand that every rabbit here is loved and cared for. Yes, we raise meat rabbits, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love them. Death is a part of farming, but it’s supposed to be swift and humane. What happened today was neither of those things.

This is one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced on this farm. I’ve cried plenty of tears over animals before, but this one is by far the worst .
Please pray for me. I’m really not okay right now. 😭

Rip Stargazer & my beautiful unnamed juniors that I had huge high hopes for 😭

Part of my Reza Project group. As I continue to downsize and make the tough cuts, it’s safe to say this group will probably be sticking around. They’ve consistently shown the traits I’m working toward and are helping shape the future of both my breeding program and my meat project. Excited to see what they continue to produce moving forward.

Update on the attempt at braided treats. First round was a fail- we’ll see how the next attempt goes 🌟

05/30/2026

13 rabbits put up a pretty impressive amount of food around here! This batch, I decided to try something different with the pelts. I’m cutting them into strips and dehydrating them, then I’m going to try braiding them while they’re still slightly soft before putting them back into the dehydrator. No idea if it’ll work exactly like it does in my head, but we’re about to find out!

From these 13 rabbits, I ended up with:
• 78 dog treats from ears, front feet, and back feet
• 9 jars of canned hind legs
• 7 pint jars of rich rabbit broth
• A whole bag of livers that will be blended and frozen into ice cube-sized dog treats
• 2 large packs of fake wings(aka front legs) for us to marinate and enjoy
• 13 backstraps (loins) frozen and ready to be cooked down and shredded
• 2 jars of belly flaps currently marinating for jerky
• Ribs in the fridge waiting to be shredded and canned

Nothing goes to waste around here if I can help it. Between food for us, treats for the dogs, broth, jerky, and hopefully some braided pelt chews, these 13 rabbits are going a long way toward feeding the family and stocking the pantry.

This is one of the reasons I love raising rabbits-they produce so much more than people realize🤍
