"Without proper safeguards, these ('nature-based solutions') could lead to adverse outcomes, particularly for smallholder farmers. While capital is necessary to transition agricultural practices to more sustainable forms of land management, concerns arise that investment by corporate banks and funds could lead to consolidation of power, wealth, and control over farmland and its ecological assets. We want YOU to support our 23rd Annual Winter Conference through your expertise, experience, and networks! We are seeking speakers from diverse backgrounds to share their knowledge, perspectives, and craft at the event. We aim for topics and formats that build new skills, provide relevant updates, encourage collaboration, create fun, inspire joy, and build community to positively impact our local and regional food network. The 2025 Winter Conference will – Sowing Hope, Cultivating Joy - will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. Join supporters of the local, organic food and farming movement as we sow more seeds of hope, expand our knowledge, connect as a community, celebrate innovation, and lean into the joy of food in New Hampshire and the region.

The Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) is a free, peer-to-peer mentorship initiative offering technical support, certification guidance, educational events, workforce development, and more. Applications are open year-round. Mentorships start in fall and late-winter. Sign up now to start a fall mentorship focused on organic certification! The program is open to farms and processors aiming for organic certification, whether they sell retail or wholesale.

We’re also seeking experienced organic farmers to become paid Mentors who can share their expertise and support the expanding number of growers interested in transitioning to organic certification. Both Mentees and Mentors receive assistance from TOPP program staff, NOFA-NH, Pennsylvania Certified Organic, and other partner organizations.
