A beautiful orange glow pops from the glass as notes of orange peels, pastry cream, and bananas foster jump out immediately. On the palate a lot of the baby fat has disappeared, leaving behind a wonderfully mature bourbon. The mid palate is dry and full bodied with huge flavors coating the mouth. Peppercorns, allspice, and citrus oils completely engulf all of your taste buds. The soft and easy nose is quite misleading as this bourbon is quite full bodied and complex. Each sip manages to offer robust and distinctive flavors yet land so softly. This barrel offers the unique quality of being bold and full bodied yet easy drinking. Punchy yet soft, this bourbon is a great example of how bottling at cask strength can add a little extra zip without being too aggressive or hot. A perfect pour for those who like their bourbon with a big personality and a lot to say.

So many of you asked for bourbon barrel from Thirteenth Colony!!! We tried this barrel during our first visit in GA. We are thrilled to release first ever bourbon barrel from them in Massachusetts.

LJ Thirteenth Colony Single Barrel Bourbon 8 Years

59.59 % ABV

Price : $109.99🔥

This bourbon shines bright and is just a touch less dark than our other barrel of thirteenth colony of about the same age. The nose at first seems quite mellow but with a little time and air penetrating acroamas of hot honey, black tea and that scent right after it rains on a sunny day dance about. Every sniff only seams to intensify and makes my mouth water just waiting to taste this bourbon. On the palate, sweeter notes of dark brown sugar, cinnamon and drawn butter compliment fresh ground pepper and glove nuances. The finish has a touch dry oak finally revealing the true age. The flavor profile is precise and detailed yet ever changing, a truly special barrel.
