This is just a little update and reminder that this Saturday 12-5 is the second annual Mushroom Fest at Bow Market with SausAtBowMarket

A mushroom outfit/costume contest:)
wear your favorite and best mushroom themed outfit!
Prizes may be awarded for a variety of reasons from “most accurate mushroom”, “most creative”, “most wild”, and so on. The sky’s the limit! Last year our winner was in full amanita gear, & we had runner up prizes for “chicken of the woods” and more.
Kids mushroom hunt and craft table! around bow market there will be mushrooms hidden that can be redeemed for prizes, as well as a craft station for making unique mushroom arts.
Bow Market Businesses offering a wide range of mushroom themed foods and gifts throughout the day. Including but not limited to a mushroom b**r, mushroom empanadas, fried mushrooms, and many more! Not to mention our own mini mushroom shop stand!
Mushroom Cultivation Workshop with Chaz of “The Very Fungi” doing a mushroom cultivation demo, with take home your own grow kits!
Wild mushroom ID table with Jim McAuley from the boston mycological club there to chat about the different varieties of mushrooms around our area. Please bring some fresh fungi you’re curious to learn a little more about. There will also be a table spread for you to peruse.
Fermentation workshop because Fungi and bacteria are oh so important to making our favorite bubble ferments, come see a work shop led by Flora who runs the Somerville Fermentation Festival
Just a little moment to reflect and enjoy the wonders of the fungal world!
