💛 2025 Muscat Blanc : fresh, flirty light and DRY. As we begin to enter warm weather ahead and river, beach, lake, pool time; Muscat is all I want to drink!

❤️2024 Petite Sirah (Big Ted’s Red) : tons of dark fruit notes alongside spice, this is the only wine we make that ages in majority new french oak for 16 months. Big Ted’s Red is for smoking meats and deep conversations.  

Think brambly berries and cardamom spice wrapped in elegant silky tannins.

Happy Juneteenth from 🥂♥️ Ward Four Wines is a love letter to Chocolate City. The District of Columbia became the first majority Black major city in the United States in 1957. Ward Four Wines pays homage to DC Black Creatives. My Black Joy is an act of resistance in the quiet, whimsical vineyard moments to the energetic cellar days, to the high energy bliss I feel when I’m pouring at an event. Growing up, I wasn’t the first to be in the dirt, but I eventually realized how cool being in nature is. I giggle to my first days at Cal Poly, you could barely get me in the vineyards. By the end of sophomore year I was working on 3,200-acre Swanton Pacific Ranch in Santa Cruz County, California outside the town of Davenport.

This is leaning all the way in to her Joys!  “Be Rebelliously Joyous. Where society has told us to “be quiet”, and that we’re “too loud” and “too different”, it is an act of resistance to revel in the joy that they have spent much of history trying to take away from us.” - Chanté Joseph
