During construction of the building, the farmer continues to build the farm. This beautiful little pond is situated between the Kitchen and Medicinal Gardens. Tiny little mosquito fish and koi are already thriving. A solar panel powers the pump at nighttime lighting.

First few days of excavation and grading for the building pads. The soil here is composed of very expansive clay. Not great for building a house on. The clay was dug out, good soil used and 700 or so CY of competent fill brought in for placement in compacted lifts. And it was really HOT!!

We are so excited that our farm Re-Modeling project is underway! The site is being prepared for out new buildings. Construction will begin in the next month or so. During construction, we will not be open to the public but this fall we will have lots to show off. Our farm is being re-planted, re-constructed and re-modeled. Our Certified Permiculture Designer is busy designing and planting our Kitchen, Medicinal and Mother Gardens and our 2 acre food forest. Friends! Our Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch opens Saturday October 4th and will be open every Saturday and Sunday up until Halloween from 10am to 4pm!

We will be having an 'End of Summer, Beginning of Fall Harvest Party' on Sunday October 12th from 1pm to 7pm! We will have live acoustic music, farm to table eats catered by San Francisco chef and restaurant owner, James Faber, fun for the kids and adults, and beautiful pumpkins to pick right off the vine! All of our Summer crops will be sold at our farm stand in bulk and on super sale for any of you who like to can/jar/pickle and preserve the sweet taste of summer through the cold winter months!

Happy Equinox all! May we continue to grow and flow with the shift of the seasons.
