Mammoth relief is here! We're delighted to announce that the 2018 AD Ed's Red is available for purchase. All 135 cases were bottled on Friday, December 11. Sometimes after bottling, wine goes into "shock," but in a tasting last night, this wine was delicious. Will it taste even better in a month? Probably. Will it taste better still in five years? Not only does Edwin make our wines, but he's pouring this morning at the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon & Rosé 5k -- AND he's a top-50 half-marathon finisher! He's on the northwest corner of the Plaza for another hour and then will head to the tasting room. Stop by and swap race stories over a glass of Adastra wine, won't you?

This article in the Wall Street Journal writes about the World Mammoth Museum in Yakutsk, Russia. The executive summary is that (i) there's a World Mammoth Museum (ii) Yakutsk has lots of Woolly Mammoth remains which (iii) people are apparently free to dig up and sell i.e. "There's tusks in that thar permafrost."
We'll avoid editorializing on the complex ethical issues, but we're sure the museum cafeteria would benefit from having Ed's Red on the menu. You, of course, can enjoy the mammoth taste of Ed's Red by stopping by our tasting room on Sonoma square (Adastra Wine & Art) or visiting Adastrawines.com
