How good are your senses?? Tonight we are doing a blind tasting up at Nicholson Ranch winery- and we are preparing foods that are not what they seem! 1) It looks like a donut with blue frosting but it is really a savory donut of pork, sage and grilled apple, with a creme fraiche (with food coloring) and apple juice reduction. 2) It looks like a small ramekin of onion soup with wild onion blossoms, but it is duck confit and morbier cheese buckwheat crepe Napolean in a ramekin topped with onion sauce. Dont always believe your eyes!!... or mouth!
