We had a wonderful time welcoming our friends from F-W**es during their visit to Dutton Ranch yesterday! Star of the show? (Apart from James Hall and Steve Dutton, of course). Our 2014 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay out of 3-liter. Cheers and safe journeys!

This week we completed our final pick of the season, bringing in Chardonnay from Dutton Ranch. Harvest began early back in July, and it has ended early. Still much work to do in the cellar and to put the vineyards “to bed” ahead of the next growing season. But for now, we’re toasting the emerging 2026 vintage. Cheers to everyone!

So we're really doing this! Harvest in July.

Early this morning we brought in Chardonnay from the Martinelli family's Zio Tony Ranch in the Russian River Valley for our sparkling w**es. By 10am, the grapes had been delivered to the w**ery, duly blessed, and sent on their merry way to becoming the 2026 vintage.

We’re grateful to Martha Stewart and Friends of John Jay Homestead for having us pour at “On the Farm,” a celebration of America’s 250th and a benefit for the preservation of John Jay Homestead. John Jay was a jurist, diplomat, and Founding Father. But he was also a dedicated farmer, which is a title we’ll happily raise a glass of Dutton Ranch Chardonnay to this holiday week!

Our w**emaking team recently paid a visit to the fine folks down at Pisoni Family Vineyards to check in on how the growing season is treating them. The bottom line: 3 weeks ahead of the average season, but there's still time for that to change.

It's a rare day when you get to taste a w**e right where it's grown, like our Hospitality team did up on Bootlegger's Hill last week. Even rarer to do it on a (ahem) vintage D6 Cat.
