Happy Sunday!
Our home has been fighting some sickness but I wanted to update on the farm and our build!
We are less than two months out from having goat kids on the farm again! We received all of our disease and pregnancy test back showing we are a clean tested farm and confirming pregnancy in both goats bred this year. This is something we have done yearly since starting our farm and will continue to do.
Kidding season is truly our favorite time of the year! We have Evie expecting again for her 3rd freshening and our new girl Skittles, all the way from PA, as a first freshener this season. I am so excited to see the colors Skittles and Gunner throw with all the moonspots on both of them. Evie always gives us a show of colors! Evie is due to kid February 6th and Skittles February 9th.
Our new farm/family dog Jessie is really learning the ropes. She has done well with the goats and chickens and is starting to learn basic obedience. I have plans to use her down the road in other ways to help on our farm!
We are moving along in our home building! Foundation has been placed, first floor up, stairs and flooring down on second floor! Next week should be 2nd floor walls and trusses! We are so thankful for the unusually dry weather we are having allowing us to get dried in. We are also so thankful for the subcontractors we have used so far being incredibly helpful, kind, and thinking outside of the box on things we are trying to do to make our new house have old feels! If you are in our area and need a mason, concrete, grading, footers, or framer let me know! I seriously feel like God put the right people in our path and boy have they been patient with me as the contractor 😆
I pray for you and your family as we approach Jesus’ birthday that you sit and truly reflect on what this life would be had God not sent such a miracle to save us. I’m so thankful for a loving Father!
Be blessed friends and choose to spread God’s love & kindness everywhere you go❤️
