I’m going to switch things up a little bit. Every animal that resides here is bred with a purpose and a specific end goal.
I primarily raise wether genetic Boer goats with the goal of producing competitive, muscular market wethers for the show ring. Wether genetic Boer genetics tend to grow slower and mature smaller compared to traditional fullblood Boer genetics, so this season I decided to make a change.
I purchased a traditional fullblood Boer buck with one main goal in mind: increase growth, frame, and overall size while still maintaining the muscle and structure I want in my offspring.
This isn’t about changing my program—it’s about building on what I already have and improving with intention. Every breeding decision has a purpose, and I’m excited to see what this cross brings to the next generation.
Peter, my new buck is ONLY 4 months old and he is a CHUNK.
Now we wait and see what this next generation brings!
