I found this injured juvenile gopher tortoise this morning. Thank you FloridaWild Integrative Veterinary Center & Urgent Care for taking him in!

Fun facts- These creatures are highly resilient and can live 40-90 years! More than 350 different species of animals share their burrow, making them a very valuable part of our ecosystem.

Hoping this little one has a long happy life ahead of him!!

Keep in mind, they are protected in Florida, requiring that they and their burrows be left undisturbed.

We had the best time Winter Park YMCA for Ymca Healthy Kids Day.

We brought Cola from Britton's Barnyard, some of our rescues, and the chicks that hatched at Eastbrook Elementary this week!

I love seeing all their faces light up when they see all the animals🥰
