I wanted to finally and officially introduce you all to my newest doe Moon and my newest buck Conway!
Now that the life shenanigans have calmed down a bit, I finally can haha. My health issues need to cool it already sheesh. π
Earlier this year, I decided to go on the hunt for high quality rex rabbits to better my rabbitry and breeding stock. I wanted rabbits that I could not only show eventually but also who would be on the larger side, would have better growth rates, decent foot furring and dense coats. I searched high and low for rabbits with these qualities and ended up settling on the most beautiful lynx doe and amber buck from Black Sheep Farm & Rabbitry ! When I say these two just radiated gold stars all around the second the transporters handed them off to me - I mean it! Transport came with its own set of anxieties and issues but they were both very worth the wait and I cannot recommend rabbits from Black Sheep enough. Jessica is such a solid and dedicated breeder to work with and her advice and knowledge has been SO nice to have for the last few months. She's a gem, seriously!
Moon just had her first litter in my care and those are the babies I have been sharing about lately. I am stoked with what I'm seeing as far as their growth, varieties and temperaments. That mama and those babies have me so excited for the future of Jackalope Meadows! And Conway, my new buck has me even more excited because he has already seen the show table several times now and has gained a couple of legs! π I look forward to showing him (Moon too!) at some point in the near future if and when my health will allow it. And I cannot wait for that. ππΌ Until then, I'll be pairing him with my does to crank out his kids left and right and have some fun with it. π
