Hungry Folks is just starting up, and we are excited to announce our first project, pastured poultry! We are raising Freedom Ranger chickens using Joel Salatin's chicken tractor model, with some of our own modifications.
Our birds are raised on organic grain, and leave the coop to pasture after 3 weeks. On pasture the are fed organic multigrain feed, pea sprouts, leafy compost scraps, and meal worms.
We will be slaughtering 19 chickens the first week of December and 36 chickens the last week of December.
