It is the last weekend for our farm stand and what a season it has been! Seeing so many more of you show up consistently to buy flowers and veggies has been a real delight! Fall greens update: we've had great germination, and this recent soaking rain has really helped. You can see the little seedlings coming up! The second picture is spinach, and the third picture is arugula.

We are on track to have fresh greens again by the end of October and should have them through March next year!

Next we will pull out the tomatoes from the tunnels and get greens planted in there for our winter harvest

When we first plant the June-bearing strawberries in the spring, we plant them a foot apart. All season we pinch the flowers, but let the runners grow. By the fall, we pin down runners in the open holes in the landscape fabric to fully fill it in at 6 inch spacing. We prune the rest of the runners and let the newly planted ones root in by Winter. Next spring we will have completely filled strawberry beds, ready to fruit!
