Before... and after! The propagation house is ready for tomatoes! We utilize the space in this tunnel that we don't need for seedlings to grow warmer crops in the ground. Eventually, we will probably need it all for seedlings as we might open up a spring seedling sale in the future. But for now we've got a second tunnel for our tomatoes!

Three varieties of Raspberries and 1/3 of our tomato plants in the ground! We harvested spring mix and spinach from this tunnel just earlier this week. Amazon how quick you can flip beds to new crops!

Raspberries are "fall bearing" meaning we'll probably start harvesting fruits in September, but since we have them in the tunnel we'll be able to protect them from early frosts and hopefully harvest through October! The tomatoes were two of three varieties of cherry tomatoes and we'll plant the other cherry tomato once we harvest the carrots next week. Heirloom-style beefsteak tomatoes will go in our prop house.

We've been using a drill-driven "bulb auger" for years to quickly dig a deep hole to drop the tomato plant into. Saves our forearms from a lot of digging!

It's been so busy on the farm that I haven't posted as much lately, but you can be sure we're getting a lot done! The main high tunnel is bursting with spring greens and we've got one and a half blocks of beds fully planted. Off we go!
