Winter barn tips:
If you don't empty the muck buckets immediately after adding to it, first put a layer of sawdust in the bottom to prevent manure from sticking to the bottom while it freezes.
You can also spray the inside with PAM.

The things I'm thankful for: my family (4 legged too), my friends (my chosen family), my clients. Thank you for being you!

No matter how talented a horse is when the body is compensating for tension, imbalanced muscles and pain it affects their performance. Tight muscles impact the entire body, skeleton and posture, from hooves to teeth and results in poor performance and behavior issues.

This is why caring for a horse is a group effort: farrier, vet, dentist, massage therapist, chiropractor. Looking at the horse as a whole and holistically requires understanding how the individual pieces and rolls impact the horse's performance and well being.

Without the massage therapist and farrier working together, correcting the feet will take twice as long when only one is working on the issue.

If your horse is struggling a massage is a great place to start. Appointments on weekends and select evenings.

StaySTRONG™ 33 Ration Balancer Product Number A Supplement for All Classes of Horses Product Positioning Mineral and vitamin supplementation is necessary for horses for several reasons: • Required for digestion and utilization of feedstuffs and for most metabolic processes • Due to mineral depletion of soils, feedstuff nutrient value is lower • Mineral and vitamin content of forages varies greatly • Due to vitamin-mineral interactions, these nutrients need to be supplied in the correct amounts and proportions to achieve optimum performance Supplemental protein may be required based on growth requirements, reproductive stage, and forage quality. StaySTRONG 33 Ration Balancer provides the necessary protein, minerals, and vitamins to complement forages and grains, enabling horses to reach their performance potential. StaySTRONG 33 Ration Balancer combines the advantages of GROSTRONG® Minerals with high-quality protein sources. It is the result of unsurpassed formulation expertise and leading edge technology. Over 100 years of formulation and manufacturing expertise back the reliability and nutritional soundness of StaySTRONG 33 Ration Balancer.

StaySTRONG 33 Ration Balancer, a Forage First® vitamin-mineral product, is a key component of the Forage First program. Forage First programs combine good-quality forage, GROSTRONG vitamin-mineral products, and energy-based products, when needed, to produce balanced total rations. With this combination of feeds, horses can be healthy and perform at their best when fed less grain than they would receive from traditional horse rations. Consequently, horses are at less risk of metabolic and digestive disorders and DOD that may result from high-starch intake. Product Description StaySTRONG 33 Ration Balancer is a high-quality, pelleted, protein-vitamin-mineral product designed for use in situations where additional protein is needed, especially in rations for growing horses and gestating and lactating broodmares. Contains GROSTRONG Minerals Ensures horses receive 28 major minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, and electrolytes (including salt) in the correct amounts and ratios needed for maintenance, growth, reproduction, and performance. Complexed mineral sources are more readily available compared with inorganic sources, which could be crucial to stressed horses and may also provide health benefits such as immunity, skeletal growth, and hoof integrity. Horse nutrient requirements can be specifically addressed, which allows product to be designed to provide the amounts of protein, vitamins, and minerals needed specifically by horses. Assures horse owners of commitment to ensuring high-quality products that perform. Enables horse to reach their genetic potential by providing key amounts of protein, vitamins, and minerals lacking in feedstuffs. Ensures essential amino acid needs are met for maintenance, growth, reproduction, and performance. Supplies energy; also contributes to hair coat shine and “bloom.” Enables more efficient metabolism of nutrients from the foregut, resulting in better nutrient utilization of the entire ration. Zinpro®* 4-Plex®* C (complexed zinc, manganese, copper, & cobalt) Formulated specifically for horses 100+ years of livestock nutrition research and manufacturing experience Optimum amounts of protein, vitamins, and minerals Provides 33% high-quality protein Provides vegetable oil Provides direct fed microbials Provides Prosponse® yeast Studies have shown yeast enhances feed palatability, digestibility, and hindgut fermentation.
