Have you ever had “wax on snow” or “jack wax”? It’s a delightful and simple treat. Fill a large pan with clean snow or ice chips. Heat one cup of maple syrup to approximately 234 degrees. If you don’t have a candy thermometer, the syrup will form a thread when drizzled from a spoon when boiled to the proper temperature. Handle the hot syrup carefully. Drizzle it over the snow or ice chips and allow it to cool. Roll some up on a fork or a sucker stick and enjoy!

We are often asked how long our Maple Sugar Candy will keep. We coat our sugar shapes with a layer of crystallized maple syrup to lock in the freshness. They will normally stay fresh for up to six months. You will notice a slight crunch when you bite into them and then the inside just melts away!
