Wellโ€ฆitโ€™s been a hot minute here. ๐Ÿคฃ

The weather is finally starting to turn to spring. The kids needed some outside time and we were missing our favorite person so off to the farm we went.

Henry got to meet his newest calf, Princess Sprinkles. She is his third purebred Ayrshire heifer calf.

We all climbed into the Deere for the new ๐Ÿ„ ๐Ÿ’ฉ spreader experience. Perfect time for our littlest little to take a nap ๐Ÿ˜ด ๐Ÿ’—

We have waited almost four years for this moment! ๐Ÿ’—

On July 5, 2019; Ben, Danielle and a 5 month old baby Henry joined a few other members of the Moss family at a big Ayrshire sale in Hamburg. Henry became the owner of his very own cow and heifer so that he could grow his own Ayrshire herd. And as luck goes, this has been the very first purebred Ayrshire heifer calf.

Meet Finlee! ๐Ÿ’—
Also seen here is mama Felisa as a yearling heifer on the day of the sale.

Who knows, she may even make her debut at Chautauqua County Fair this year if we get all our paperwork in and done on timeโ€ฆbecause why not?! ๐Ÿคช

What do farmers do when they take a day away from the farm?!? Go to farms shows, of course!

Ben, Danielle and Henry spent the day at Empire Farm Days outside of Syracuse. We met with some dear friends from the other side of the state, it was the perfect halfway point for us. Needless to say, Henry enjoyed his new friend and we enjoyed the family time together. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿด๐Ÿฎ

Tomorrow, back to work.โ€ฆ.๐Ÿค‘

PS, make sure to zoom in on the boysโ€™ shirts ๐Ÿ˜

And so it begins, every year we do our best to provide high quality forage to our bovine beauties as the bulk of their TMR (total mixed ration). This year even with weather and equipment issues we are getting an excellent start on some beautiful grass and clover to be made into balage. Praying for cooperative weather and no equipment failures for ourselves and all our farming friends.

On a side note everyone drive safe and give equipment the space and respect we need on the road, yes we're slow and big but at the end of the day we want to get done and go home to our family's safe and in one piece, thank you and good luck!!!
