For Peate's Sake Homestead We are a small homestead located in western NY. Dedicated to raising animals humanely. Our priority is to create delicious meat you can eat guilt free.

Here at For Peate's Sake Homestead we specialize in pasture raised pork and free-range poultry. Our animals are treated like part of the family and we ensure their lives are happy ones. Our pigs are raised with access to the outdoors all year long, even if in the winter they prefer to bed down in the barn in deep beds of hay. They are fed a diet of commercial grains, hay, whey, eggs, and leftover

veggies. Our sows are never put in farrowing crates and are allowed to make natural nests to give birth in. We raise chickens in the pasture right along with the pigs during the summer and they are let out of their hoop house each morning to forage for part of their diet. The chickens we raise take longer to grow than their commercial counterparts and have a bit less breast meat, but are a great deal more flavorful. We also have a small apiary where we produce local wildflower honey. Give us a call or send us a message and taste the difference pasture makes.
