3 weeks ago these birds arrived as day-old chicks. Today they moved out to pasture for the first time. ๐ฅ๐ฟ
In the brooder they stay warm, safe, and close while they grow their feathers and build strength. The moment they're ready, usually right around three weeks, they move into our mobile coops on open ground.
Just like kids. One minute they need the heat lamp, the next they're ready to move out and take on the world.
From that day forward it's fresh grass, bugs, sunlight, and daily rotation. This is what the pasture-raised life cycle actually looks like behind the scenes. No shortcuts. No confinement. Just birds living the way they're meant to. ๐๐ฟ
