From all of us at Champlain Adaptive Mounted Program, we are grateful for their service and hold their memory close.

🐴💚 Seven Days Daysies Update 🐴💚

Well… we did not make it into the final voting round for the Seven Days Daysies Award for Best Nonprofit.

Bummer.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate CHAMP and cheer us on. We’re so grateful for this community and for all the support you show our riders, volunteers, and amazing therapy horses.

Thank you for being in our corner. We truly appreciate it.

😄And yes… Leo is taking the news surprisingly well. 😄

💚 GRATITUDE MONDAY 💚
Yesterday, CHAMP celebrated something very special… Lena’s retirement. 🐴✨

For so many years, this beautiful, kind, endlessly patient girl has quietly changed lives one ride at a time. Her gentle soul, soft eyes, and steady presence have brought comfort, confidence, and joy to countless riders and families.

At 29 years old yesterday (that’s roughly 80+ in human years 💚), Lena has more than earned a well-deserved retirement filled with love, naps, snacks, and admiration from everyone who adores her.

💕🐴 The best part?
Lena isn’t going anywhere. She will continue to live at CHAMP as our beloved “Professor Emerita” of kindness, patience, and unconditional love.

We are deeply grateful to her owner, Janice Russotti, for sharing Lena with CHAMP for so many years. What a gift she has been to this program and to all of us lucky enough to know her.

✨Changing lives one ride at a time. ✨

🌷❤️ HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY 🌷❤️️

CHAMP is filled with amazing moms and women who love like moms…

You are the cheerleaders, advocates, drivers, huggers, helmet-fixers, and “you can do this” whisperers… 💚

Thank you for all that you do.

The love and encouragement you bring to CHAMP changes lives every single day. 🐴✨

🏇🌹✨KENTUCKY DERBY & CHAMP🏇🌹✨
Different kind of champions.

While the world watches the fastest horses run at the Kentucky Derby…
…we’re thinking about the gentlest ones.

At CHAMP, there are no starting gates.
No finish lines.
⏱️ No two-minute clock.
✨ Just quiet moments that change everything.
🌹 Our therapy horses won’t wear roses today.

But they show up, every single day, with something even more powerful:
Steadiness.
Kindness.
Trust.

And in their own quiet way… they change lives.

Because the most meaningful victories
don’t happen in two minutes.
They happen one ride at a time.

💚 GRATITUDE MONDAY 💚
☺️ Last week gave us plenty to smile about.

🌱 First week of spring session
Riders… showing up with determination and that spark we wish we could bottle

🌼 National Volunteer Week
Volunteers… calming, cheering, adjusting helmets
(and yes… absolutely fueled by Snowflake Chocolates for Volunteer Week)

🤝Caregivers & families… the steady support behind every ride

🐴 Horses… very clearly thinking,
“oh good… my people are back.”

Meanwhile… outside…
🌿 Temps are rising (finally)
🌳 Trees are waking up
☀️ Spirit has claimed his sunbathing spot

✨ Horse. Healing. Happiness!
