Dockery Branch Farms is a family owned company located in South Hill, Virgina in a little area known as Dockery. Dockery Branch Farms is a family owned and operated business located in the heart of Southside Virginia. Founded in fall of 2010, our Real Country Sausage is made using an original recipe developed by our family over 100 years ago. Country sausage and country hams have been produced and

sold to the community here in South Hill, Virginia for over a century. The Real Country Sausage recipe and art of curing hams was developed by the Ryland and Walker families in the early 1900’s and sold out of the old Ryland Store which still is owned by the Smith family. In the fall of 2010 the Smith family built an inspected facility and started producing sausage and hams to sell to the community once again and also at farmers markets all across Virginia. With the support from our customers enjoying our fine products, Dockery Branch Farms continues to grow and expand into more rural and urban communities. Our Real Country Sausage that was once enjoyed as a breakfast delicacy is now enjoyed for every meal as our products have expanded since the early times.

COMING TO A STORE NEAR YOU...Big day today yall, and its been a long time coming! (Recommendations requested at the end) I want to give all of you an informative post of how we got here, but for now we are going to get to the "meat" of this. We are starting to sell in stores! For the past few weeks we have been selling in a couple of stores to see how our products were preceived by the public without advertisement. It has been overwhelming. As of now, we are requesting recommendations for family/private owned stores in the state of Virginia that would be interested in selling our products. The products available for retail are: Mild Country, Hot Country,
Brown Sugar Maple, Italian, and Chorizo. Stores that are now selling and supporting our products are: Tommy's Produce in King William, Tom's Meats in Amelia, and Bombolini Pasta in Richmond. We are very excited about this advancement and very thankful for your continued support. Please comment below for retail recommendations. Thank yall!

Hate to do it yall but I am going to hold off on coming to RVA BIG Market tomorrow, Saturday October 25th. We are wide open in the middle of grain harvest and trying to beat the rain coming in. Thank you for your support and we will get back after that RVA sausage shuffle next weekend.

A very exciting order went out today. Our processing and sales teams are proud to be a part of this new relationship. Mind you, every order is appreciated! Apologies, I do not do the best job of keeping our customers and fans informed, but I do want to share today's delivery. A few weeks ago the new Executive Chef from George Mason University reached out and wanted to build a relationship with a Virginia based, custom processor. Our reputation and processing ability fit the mold. Today, we delivered our first custom order. A prime, all beef, jalapeño and cheddar sausage rope, sectioned in 3 ft increments to fit the smoker. We used the best whole chucks available, ordered a special sharp cheddar cheese straight from a cheese maker in Wisconsin, and used our own jalapeño sausage seasoning. We did sneak a sample for our Q&C department (lunch) and it turned out better than expected. Thanks to all that were involved. No, this will not be offered at the farmers markets.
