ONE DAY AWAY FROM 33 YEARS.
Tomorrow, June 27th, we officially celebrate 33 years of Aleko’s!
I was going through old photos and found this one from our Christmas party back in 2005.
Look at this crew.
These are the young faces in letterman jackets and work shirts who showed up early, stayed late, learned how to run a line, pack a catering van in a Michigan winter, and treat every customer like family. They worked hard, they had each other’s backs, and they laid the groundwork for everything we do today.
That is why Aleko’s Catering in South Lyon is so successful today. It was never about one person. It has always been about the team. It still is.
Thirty-three years later, that same team spirit is what we bring to every wedding, graduation, corporate event, funeral luncheon, and backyard party we cater all over Michigan.
We are excited to celebrate our anniversary officially tomorrow and all weekend long at the restaurant, and I am grateful for every employee past and present who built this with us.

2 DAYS AWAY from 33 years in business.
We started Alekos Catering in South Lyon with one idea: feed people like family. 33 years later, that’s still the job. It’s not just food on a table, it’s graduations, weddings, funerals, first birthdays, and the Tuesday office lunch that keeps a team going.
Being a small business means we remember your name, your aunt’s favorite pasta , and that you like extra breadsticks. It means we show up. Every pan is still made by hands you know, not a commissary three states away.
Thank you, Michigan, for letting us be part of your tables for 33 years. We’re just getting started.

That’s my two girls in the photo — Emily on the far left, and Anna on the far right in the oversized ALEKO’S shirts. Man, time flies.
That photo was 23 years ago.
This Saturday, June 27 — we hit 33 YEARS in business at Alekos South Lyon. Still family-owned, still making our pizza, pasta, and dinners from scratch every day.
A lot has changed since those chalkboard menus (check those prices!), but one thing that’s grown like crazy is our CATERING.
Graduations, weddings, funerals, office lunches, backyard parties, game days — if you’re feeding a crowd in South Lyon, we’ve probably done it. We do a TON of it now and we love bringing Alekos to your event.

We opened Aleko’s 33 years ago on my mom’s birthday, named for my dad Aleko. This past weekend my brothers Sam, Al and I & our family got to return the favor and celebrate her 90th birthday early with some amazing Alekos at the party.
Over three decades of gourmet catering later, and it still comes down to family feeding family.
