This is a very rare Native American corn called Navajo Robins Egg Blue. It is a soft flour corn. I love the ancient Native varieties of all kinds of seeds, so much history and expertise into the growing and selecting of these seeds. Still debating on whether or not I should grow some. I think its just beautiful!

I belong to a seed swap in central Maine and I love how they arrange it. Each member sends in enough seed of a particular variety for each member to grow out the plant and get their own seeds next year. This year , I sent in crooked neck squash seeds and black hollyhock seeds .The hollyhock was just a bonus because I have so many! We each send in $10. For shipping and then we get 30 different varieties of seed!!! ( There are about thirty members in that group) maybe we could do that next year if there is interest? SORRY wrong place to post this

I think this is a good chart to help you decide. I have learned from those far better at this than I.. and I have followed their direction. Very few are allowed to be bucks here.. sometimes its makes me cringe to band them because they are from awesome genetics but this is the truth of it, right here.

We band a lot of boys that would make great herd sires, as we firmly believe the goat world is overrun with sub-par bucks as it is. We often band moonspotted, blue eyed, flashy boys because we just don't believe they're the best we can do for the Nigerian breed as a whole. The few boys that we keep intact are ones we are proud to put out into the world with our herd name.
