Grassroots Natural Market & Kitchen Grassroots is a family-owned and operated business that was established in 1968.

In 1986 Marla and Meir Puni purchased their modest 1,500 square foot store, in a quaint shopping mall, in South Pasadena, California. In the early days, the restaurant offered soups, sandwiches, salads, frozen yogurt and their (ever popular) signature apple walnut muffins. The vitamin and grocery departments started small but were well suited for the health conscious consumer. Today, this homegrown family business, is bustling with positive vibes and great people.
