Farm life is hard at times. Farm life is joyful , but its also sad.

The little fluff ball of Glacier came to our home last summer to guard our livestock. He has been the sweetest dog we’ve ever had.

Today, we said goodbye. We said goodbye to our sheep this week too.

Glacier kept getting out of the pasture in the middle of the night and it was too much for us to handle and there was nothing we could do to keep him in. He went over, under and through the fence once he knew it was possible.

We found him a large farm to roam and guard in Southern Vermont and he is heading that way now. He will have lots of livestock to spend his days with, woods to roam and what we think are great owners to care for him and invite him around their farm as companion during the day. He’s going to love it!

There may have been some tears, but it is best for our family and Glacier.
