It is true. Last market for Geo and the gang.

We have some exciting news. Twenty six years ago we bought a run down farm and started fixing it up and created an organic vegetable, popcorn and hay operation. A series of events have caused us to stop and reflect as to what we want with the next stage of our lives. When we asked the question, "Is there anything we'd like to do but can't because we are farming?", the answer was YES, we have other things we'd like to do.

Given that, we have a purchase and sales agreement to sell the farm to a great young couple that will continue to farm Hurricane Flats and live out their farm dreams as we have lived ours.

We can't stress enough that this is a good thing. We aren't being forced into it because of financial or health reasons (at 59 years old Geo says he still out works the younger staff members), rather it's time to do something else. Sharon will continue her work for Dartmouth College and Geo will begin working full time at house rehabilitation, which he has been doing part time for a number of years.

Now the burning, unanswered question, what do we want to do....travel, anywhere and everywhere. Hike the Dolomites in Italy, go to Newfoundland, work with farmers in Africa, swim the English Channel....

We have loved farming and feel indebted to our wonderful customers that supported us and allowed us to live our dream!
