Korean Spicy Rice Cakes (Tteokbokki) 🌶️🍡
A cozy Korean street food favorite you can make at home in under 20 minutes!
Ingredients
* 1 pack Korean rice cakes (tteok)
* 2 cups water or anchovy broth
* 2 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
* 1 tbsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
* 1 tbsp soy sauce
* 1 tbsp corn syrup
* rice cake
* ramen
* fish cake
* Green onions
* cabbage
Instructions
1. Soak rice cakes in warm water for 5–10 minutes if frozen or hard.
2. In a pan, add water/broth, gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, corn syrup. Stir well.
3. Bring to a boil, then add rice cakes, cabbage, ramen and fish cakes.
4. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens and the rice cakes turn soft and chewy.
5. Add cheese and wait to melted. enjoy hot!
