When I traveled to Germany in 2018 to visit the breweries, the representative of Weltenburger organized a hotel room for me in Regensburg (where part of Weltenburger’s production is). The name of the hotel was “Bishofshof am Dom”. So, I checked in late at night (our tour was the next day); I was alone (family didn’t join me for that tour), and went to the bar to have a beer. I had a Bishofhof Pilsner and loved it! So I sent this picture of me drinking that beer to him texting “Please don’t hate me for not having Weltenburger but this beer is so good! And it’s not my fault when you organize a hotel room with the competition!”
He just laughed, and said “I’ll show you why I can live with that tomorrow”.
The Bishofshof brewery exists since 1649, but in 1973, Weltenburg became part of them. Both of their bottle productions is in Regensburg. It was a pretty fascinating tour! And now, we have also two Bishofshofs on tap (unfortunately not the Pilsner), but:
Bishofshof Original 1649 Fest, and Bishofshof Helles!
If you never had it, give it a try. Prost and happy Tuesday everyone!

National Beer Day is celebrated in the United States every year on April 7, marking the day that the Cullen–Harrison Act was enacted after having been signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 22, 1933.
Upon signing the legislation, Roosevelt made his famous remark, "I think this would be a good time for a beer."[3][4] The law went into effect on April 7 of that year (1933) in states that had enacted their own law allowing such sales.
People across the country responded by gathering outside breweries, some beginning the night before. On that first day, 1.5 million barrels of beer were consumed, inspiring the future holiday. Today, April 7 is recognized as National Beer Day, and April 6 is known as New Beer's Eve (source: Wikipedia)

Enjoy safely and responsibly.
