Iām still working through my images and posts from New York Bridal Fashion Week, but I wanted to share a little about the experience while all my feelings are still fresh!
Weddings are truly a production. There is an entire team working behind the scenes to make everything happen. The florals, the food, the lighting, the decor⦠so much is planned and prepared months in advance. And on the actual wedding day, there are still hurdles that a couple might never even know about because their team is working to make everything happen as seamlessly as possible. Then you add family, friends, and all the genuine emotions that come with a wedding day. There are just so many moving parts, and after all these years, it still amazes me.
Getting to spend the week surrounded by people who contribute to that world in so many different ways was really special. Designers, salon owners, planners, photographers, videographers, hair and makeup artists⦠so much creativity and passion in the same rooms āØš„
And getting to share the experience with my peers from here in Tampa made it so sweet. This year has reminded me how grateful I am for our wedding community and how willing people are to welcome, support, and make room for each other. It was pretty special to feel that sense of community so far from home.
New York has always felt easy for me to settle into. I love the energy, the pace, and how much is happening around me. Add long days, beautiful collections, new connections, and way too many steps in heels, and I came home tired but so inspired. Excited to create, to keep having these conversations, and to go back in the spring.
Mostly, Iām proud of myself for going. For introducing myself, joining the conversations, and putting myself in rooms Iāve wanted to be part of. Itās easy to wait until something feels perfectly planned or the timing feels right, and Iām glad I didnāt.
