Lots of things happen on a farm that are not always experiences everyone things of. Meet Miss Beth. She was born 4 days ago and for the first 3 we found her laying in the same spot. She was being a good mother right there with her watching over her. On the third day, we decided it was time to take her to the barn to see if everything was OK. We gave her a bottle to see if she would drink it because she was just a skinny little one. She drank the whole bottle instantly the next day, we took her mom and tried to milk her to see if Miss Beth was able to get any milk from her mom. Come to find out mom is unable to give her little one milk. Now we will be feeding her a bottle twice a day and she will be staying in the Hilton at the farm enjoying a private room. Many people ask how long cows stay at the farm. Every cow has a different situation, but every cow has to contribute to the farm. If not, we’re just feeding them as pets versus feeding them as part of the operation so she will be going to the sale. She’s been a great cow for about 10 years and has had 10 Great babies on our farm. But her time of production has come to an end and we will be putting replacement heifers in for the cows that have fulfilled their time on the farm.
