We chopped second cutting with heavy hearts. We lost a great friend, a good neighbor, and a heck of a Kenworth driver. He has hauled countless loads for us and has always been more than willing to help. Gary, you will be greatly missed.

Tonight Peyton walked her Bessie again and then did a little work with Happy....someone has to do it. She hasn’t stopped talking about fair all week. I think mostly to her fair means it’s time for her birthday! She does love her cows though

Peyton says she’s ready for fair.

We made some troughs for salt and bicarb for the cows to eat out of. We used the old feed troughs that were taken out of the old milking parlor in 1995, and also made dad a bucket hauler on front of his kubota so he don't have to lift the buckets of milk in the bed anymore

Could this be next for your barns? :)
Yesterday I made sure the plane was headed to Studebaker Dairy Farm, today I'm heading to the barn to visit the ladies. Speaking of ladies, I saw a female brachiosaurus in Chicago. She was huge and she was wearing a mask.
In January, two groups from Passages visited the Studebaker Dairy Farm in South Whitley. Ron, Angie, Denny, and Doug all enjoyed driving down the center of the barn to see the cows up close. Denny and Doug were able to go inside and see the robotic milking process. All four have asked to go back again soon. This summer we plan on going back for a full tour!
Update #1: Live Auction Item @ the Whitley Co. 4-H FUN Night!! Big thank you to Studebaker Dairy Farm for donating a Feeder Calf to this event!! Stay tuned for more updates coming in the days leading up to our March 20th event!!
