A heartfelt announcement from the Pasty Shop
It is with incredible heavy hearts that we share that the Pasty Shop will close its doors
on March 31, 2026
For 26 years this shop has been far more than a business. It has been our family’s life‘s work what began with hands and hearts of Laurie‘s parents and mother-in-law became a place filled with tradition early mornings, flower covered aprons, laughter, and generations of loyal customers who became friends.
Our mom, Laurie has poured everything she has into keeping this legacy alive. She worked tirelessly through changing times rising cost and long days and because this shop wasn’t just about selling pasties it was about honoring the family who built it in the community that supported it.
As she prepares to step into her well earned retirement, her greatest hope was to see the tradition continue she worked diligently to find someone who would carry on the name, the recipes and the heart behind it. A nonprofit organization stepped forward, ready to continue serving the passage you love and preserve this legacy.
Unfortunately, during the transition of this process, the landlord increased the rent by 150% making it financially impossible for a nonprofit to move forward with the agreement because of this instead of passing the torch we must now close the chapter. This is not how she had hoped the story would end, but she wants everyone to know she did everything she could to protect and continue what her parents and family built.
We are deeply grateful for every customer who walked through our doors every holiday order every kind word and every shared memory over these 26 years you allow this family tradition to thrive for more than two decades. Please be sure to stop in and wish our Mom and Dad well on their next journey enjoying their retirement with their family and grandkids!!!!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jason Jess and Megan, Laurie’s proud three children and also my daughter-in-law Andrea, my son-in-laws Jasen and Ryan
