I’ve been here before, but this was my first time coming back after everything that happened with the restaurant. There was a lot of attention surrounding Dragon House, but I wanted to come back and judge it for one reason only—the food.

We kicked things off with the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, and these definitely set the tone for the meal. Filled with Wagyu beef, cabbage, onions, ginger, and scallions, every bite was juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced. If you’re a dumpling fan, these are an easy recommendation.

⭐ Rating: 4.8/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Next up were the Stir-Fried Hand-Pulled Noodles, and these completely stole the show. The noodles had that perfect chewy texture that only fresh hand-pulled noodles have. Tossed with carrots, bean sprouts, onions, cabbage, scallions, and soy sauce, every bite was packed with flavor without feeling too heavy.

⭐ Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We also ordered the House Chicken Fried Rice. The fried rice itself was delicious—great texture, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My only complaint was the chicken. It just didn’t have much seasoning compared to everything else on the table. Next time, I’d definitely order the beef version instead.

Overall, I’m glad I came back. If you’re planning your first visit, I’d tell you to order the Hand-Pulled Noodles and Wagyu Dumplings without hesitation.

Back at it again with another solid spot in Carrollton — Noodle Wave: Vietnamese Cuisine & Noodles House 🍜🔥

I’ve been here a few times now, and this location stays consistent. One thing I really appreciate is that everything is halal, which makes it an easy go-to for me when I’m craving Vietnamese food.

This visit, we ordered the Coconut Curry and a Bento Box.

The coconut curry was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor without being too heavy. It had that perfect balance of savory spice and coconut sweetness that keeps you going back for another bite. I’d give it a solid 4.3/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 🌶️🔥

The Bento Box is a great option if you want variety. You get a little bit of everything, portions are generous, and it’s a nice mix of flavors in one meal. I’d rate it a 3.6/5 ⭐⭐⭐☆ — good, but the curry definitely stole the show.

Overall, Noodle Wave is still one of those dependable spots for me. Whether it’s noodles, curry, or a bento box, they stay consistent and hit the mark.

First things first — this is NOT a paid review. Just me, my taste buds, and some honest opinions. I’m judging strictly on the food, so let’s get into it 👇

✨ THE HITS & MISSES ✨

🚫 Let’s start with the lows…

🌭 Kolache-Inspired Rolls — 2/5 ⭐️⭐️Love the concept (all-beef gets bonus points 👏), but the ex*****on missed. The bread-to-meat ratio was off — too much bread, not enough filling.👉 Fix: slice that hot dog in half so it actually fills the roll + add a sauce or seasoning to give it personality.

☕️ Lavender Latte — 3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️Good coffee overall, but the lavender flavor didn’t really show up.👉 Needed just a bit more lavender to balance it out — right now it plays it too safe.

🔥 Now for the winners…

🥐 Spinach Feta Danish — 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Listen… I don’t even like feta. And THIS? 🔥Super balanced, not overpowering, and somehow still gives you that perfect cheesy flavor without being too strong. Easily one of the best things I tried.

🥤 Limited-Time Iced Coffee — 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨I wish I remembered the name 😅 but you’ll know it when you see it.Not overly sweet, smooth, and you can actually taste the coffee (huge win).Only reason it’s not a 5? It’s limited 😭 go grab it while you can.

🍩 Chocolate Cream Donut — 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Perfectly filled, soft but holds its structure (yes, I cut it open to check 👀).Chocolate isn’t overpowering — just right. This one’s a must.

🍎 Caramel Apple Puff — 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Texture? Perfect. Filling? Solid.Flavor? Almost there… just needed a little something extra — maybe a touch of cinnamon or paired with ice cream 👀

Nutty D’Angelo — Perry’s Steakhouse 🔥

Crushed pecans flambéed with brown sugar & brandy,
served over vanilla ice cream, dipped in white chocolate, finished with toasted almonds.

Warm. Nutty. Sweet. Balanced.

This one brings texture and flavor — and actually feels like a steakhouse dessert.

Verdict: APPROVED ✅
🥈 Ranked #2 overall

If the cheesecake isn’t available… this is the move.
