So our resident turkey Betty has gone broody so I traded out her unfertalized turkey eggs for chicken eggs. Fingers crossed this works. She got 6 silkie to silkie American eggs and 4 Easter egger to naked neck silkie eggs.

It’s been mighty busy on the homestead the last week. We hatched two of our own breeding little chicks. The white one is a barred rock and silkie cross and the black one is a mystic onyx and silkie crossed. We also planted and are now sprouting summer squash, peas and basil. We have 5 kikiriki eggs going into lock down tomorrow and then have silkies and Easter eggers crossed to silkie going into lock down the 29th. Huge shout out to K&M's Rainbow Eggs &Chicks for the kikiriki eggs and an even bigger shout out to my sister Melissa Steven Mullaney for the silkie and Easter eggers crossed to silkie eggs!

We are gunna hatch some fun eggs just because I wanna see what comes out 🥰. We picked up these ee/silkie mix eggs today from long family homestead. I'm excited to see what babies hatch out these eggs they are gunna be cuties 🥰😍.

My broody hens (silkie/Serama & silkie hens) gave up some the passed few days. I didn’t think I’d even get this many. Is anyone interested before I move on to chicken pages. The green eggs are from Ameracauna/Maran mom and she has been in with the silkie Serama pen, the only bigger hen with the little ones. And so her babies will be EE/silkie I’ve seen some of the prettiest babies come from her. Local pick up in Wilmington. $30 firm
