It’s been a while since I have posted. As most of you are aware, my husband, Buddy, passed away in March of 25.
I had to make major changes in my life, therefore, I had to put everything to the side and ‘back up and punt’ as Buddy always said.
Initially, I tried to continue working..with the help of our Vendor Friend, Bruce, of Ridge Farms, I was able to work the Summer Market on Oak Island. I really needed and APPRECIATE that opportunity.
After the Market Season was over, I decided to continue with Home Delivery and Pick-Up. That was doing very well.
Then REALITY crept back in and I had to make some very DIFFICULT decisions.
In October, I put all aspects of BUSINESS to the side, and began to concentrate on what I needed to be doing to BECOME independent again.
FIRST..I had to Grieve..something I had not truly done..but I had to get control of the overwhelming SADNESS..ANGER..LONELINESS..DEPENDENCE..”What in the WORLD am I going to do??” emotions. Do I have CONTROL..no, but I am still working on it.
This is a GRIEF that will never go away..it just keeps ‘shape-shifting’.
This is a really long story, but I’m going to make it short.
I made a huge decision to SELL our HOUSE. I realized there was no way that I could maintain our BEAUTIFUL home and all the issues that came with it. I tried several times to get contractors to do necessary things to get the house ready to list on the market.
I finally found a wonderful couple on Oak Island, Mariah & Jim Cook of FULL MOON ENTERPRISES
My son, Richard Mac Donald, stepped in and told me he was taking over, because it was too much for me to deal with by myself. He hired a group out of Wilmington, Cam's Junk Removal They don’t just remove JUNK, they do everything..if Cam’s crew can’t handle it, he refers others that are dependable as well.
I have moved to a smaller house, in The Landing @ Stone Chimney, in Supply, NC.

Now, let’s get down to business.
MATERS & TATERS will be at the Mardi Gras Market on Oak island, this SATURDAY 21st..(WEATHER permitting, of course, weatherman says 81% chance of rain).
12-4 are the market hours.

FEBRUARY has ALWAYS been our HEALTHY HEART month at MATERS & TATERS.
I’m offering 2 different tray sizes for our !!!HEALTHIER!!! SWEET TRAYS.
This information will be on my POST TOMORROW.
You can PICK-UP at the MARKET on SATURDAY, or if RAIN, you can pick up at STONE CHIMNEY ROAD on SUNDDAY 22.

Since there are NO LOCAL produce at this time, other than COLLARDS and other GREENS,etc..our PRODUCE will be in a JAR..LIMITED JAMS and PICKLES

NOW..let’s TALK about the WEATHER again.
Should rain, prevent the MARKET, this is what I will offer to you.
I always PREPARE for the Market as if it will be. My items are't something you can keep on hand.
I will have the items mentioned above available to you.
They will be available on SUNDAY, FEBURARY 22, for PICK -UP ****ONLY****
1pm and after for PICK-UP
Pick-up will be at my RESIDENCE in SUPPLY on STONE CHIMNEY ROAD.
I’m telling you in ADVANCE, in case we do get RAINED OUT..or you just can’t make it to OAK ISLAND..or whatever the reason may be.
If you would like to put an order together for the items listed above, if you don’t have plans to attend, PLEASE PLACE your order by FRIDAY 4pm for PICK-UP on SUNDAY after 1.
I am asking for a $25 minimum order. I will list prices on another post tomorrow.
