The hire chicken, Frizzle Frazzle, was an only so we gave her babies. She protected them. Now they’re protecting her until they all learn how to go in the big coop with the rest of the flock.

Frizzle Frazzle and her babies grow out of their little cage. Then grow out of the run and are now out in the pasture with the rest of the flock. Just like Frizzle Frazzle used to protect her “babies” under her wings, they are now protecting her. She sits in the middle and they all huddle over her. 😍 We found her smack dab in the middle of the pile as we were putting them inside the coop with the rest.

Remember our little frizzle frazzle that was all alone? Well, we gave her a few little chicks to take care of. She quickly became their mom. They hid under her wings and learned how to scratch for food from her.
Chicken life is amazing!

We have one little Frizzle that we named Frazzle. She doesn’t have any siblings and we are her mommy. She may end up being a house chicken! 😍
