Say hello to our newest tap addition: Venom and Victory! This Baltic Porter has been patiently lagered for eight months, giving it rich and delicious notes of plums, prunes, raisins, cherries, currants, caramel, toffee, and licorice. Come sip and enjoy those dark fruits with a super smooth malt finish! ABV: 9.5%, IBU: 38 😎

Try it with our Breuben as it pairs with the b**r’s richness, while kraut adds a tangy contrast. The Cowboy Burger as the smoked bacon and BBQ sauce complement the porter’s caramel and dark-malt flavors. Or our delicious Choc-O-Late Cake as it complements the porter’s dark fruit and toffee notes. 🙌

Meet the incredible heart behind the Basin: our General Manager, Katie! ❤️

Katie has been with us for 5 amazing years, bringing with her an incredible 30 years of experience in the culinary and beverage industry! 🍻

Her journey into the industry started with a simple suggestion from her mom: “Get a job with tips!” Little did she know that one little nudge would turn into a lifelong career! When asked what she loves most about Great Basin, it all comes back to the people! From our incredible team to all the wonderful guests who walk through our doors, Katie loves hearing your stories and building those special relationships with our regulars! 😎

And, of course, we have to talk favorites! Katie's go-to menu item is our Crispy Fish Tacos (a fantastic choice, if you ask us!). When she's not at the Basin, you can find her at home with her three cats and two dogs, or letting her creative side shine through her art! Fun fact: those beautiful decorations you've seen painted on our windows before? That's all Katie! She also has her very own Etsy shop you can find at KKBeeDesign! 🎨

Katie, thank you for five wonderful years and many more to go! Thank you for the countless things you do for us and for the love you pour into this team every single day. Great Basin wouldn't be the same without you, and we're so incredibly lucky to have you here with us!! We love you so so sooooo much! Cheers! 🫶
