Hey hey!!! We want to congratulate our buddy Breckin on his first banner of the year!!! 💪 He got second place with his wether that he bought from us!! He's put in a ton of hard work and we cannot wait to see where show season takes him!

I can't even begin to express how important good hydration is for your show animals through these long hot stretches!!! Change their water buckets out frequently! Make sure you scrub that bucket out too! It might look clean but sometimes a slimy film builds up and that will effect their water intake.

You’ve put in the work all summer—don’t let these three common mistakes derail it during the final push to show day.

Not watering enough - Travel, excitement and a change in routine can affect water intake. Keep hydration top of mind before, during and after the trip.

Not keeping them full - Most livestock look their best with a full belly and rib cage. Offer smaller amounts more frequently leading up to show time to help maintain fill and shape.

Not utilizing Swell - Traveling and adjusting to a new environment can be stressful. Adding Swell to your show-day routine can help keep your animal looking full and ready to show.

So, a while back I had a random idea pop into my head and I ended up getting our buck, Struck Gold, a soccer ball. I was really hoping that he'd kind of play with it and maybe give him something to do because for most of the year he lives all by himself (he does live in our barn with an outdoor run so he's not completely alone, he just isn't with all his lady friends all year). This ball ends up in the barn and then back outside ever so often, but I've only seen him actually mess with ut once or twice. Well, tonight I KNOW for sure that he really must've been playing with it quite a bit!! It ended up in his water bucket🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 He's a total goofball sometimes🤪😂
