White County Young Farmers and Ranchers

White County Young Farmers and Ranchers YF&R is a program by Farm Bureau for people ages 18-35 that are interested in agriculture. YF&R promotes leadership skills for farmers ages 18-35.

Members share a common bond for the agricultural lifestyle, are interested in leadership development, and are dedicated to solving problems facing agriculture. YF&R also provides social activities and competitions that recognize young leaders in agriculture. This is for White County members to help keep everyone updated on meetings and events.... We also want to recruit new members, so invite anyo

-Monthly Meetings
-Ag in the Classroom at Davis Farms
-raise money at a Dove Shoot Fundraiser to give a scholarship
-attend state YF&R events and compete
-Service Projects

We had a great turn out from White County at Summer Conference where we toured Anderson Meats and Processing, heard from amazing speakers, participated in the fun run, competed in Ag Olympics, and ate our weight in ice cream. It was a great weekend ✨

We awarded two graduating seniors, Addie King and Logan Holman, a scholarship to help further their education within the agricultural field at the White County Awards Day ✨

White County YF&R decided to dedicate one of those scholarships in memory of our Farm Bureau Board Member, Mack Willhite. Anyone who knew him knows that he was an amazing person and a major supporter of our YF&R group. We were so thankful to have his family there to tell a bit about him and his passion for the youth getting involved in agriculture.
