Keeping the irrigation systems in working order requires constant attention. Jami is checking microjets, ensuring each pecan tree is getting the water it needs.

Today Vic is spraying fungicides in the old Stuarts to prevent scab. Only a few more treatments are necessary before the pecans are fully sized and shells are hardened. It may be summer, but we are always thinking about fall harvest!

Keith stays busy keeping the weeds at bay in the herbicide strips so our trees don’t have competition for water and nutrients. The clean strips also make harvesting more efficient.

We have surveyed every bearing orchard and it looks like we have a good crop set this year!
